THE RESORT

This special place has been designed from the very outset to be "a different kind of resort" only a minutes from Ubud center. Waka di Ume has been operated since 1995. To begin with, it has been designed to be small and intimate; only sixteen dwellings eleven in the lanai style, two villas and three suites. It is an escape from the modern world. THE ARCHITECT

I Ketut Siandana is a Balinese Architect as well as a director of the hotel and it is his creation. To people who know him, he is a visionary-the new generation of Balinese, the hope for future, if Bali is to retain its special magic, a traditionalist whose vision is to present the Bali experience in an unique way. He believes. Waka di Ume gives visitors a chance to experience this and the many guests who have stayed there agree with him.
